Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of site production equipment, facilities, utilities, methods, and operating procedures.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the performance of an hourly, unionized work force through the scheduling of work assignments and follow-up of assignments; record keeping and scheduling of preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting equipment, as necessary.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing and implementing techniques to drive plant reliability, control equipment performance and consistently achieve high standards of Maintenance program performance.

Essential Functions

Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of the Maintenance staff.

Handles discipline of employees as needed in accordance with Union Contract and Company Policy.

Review all work requests and communicate accordingly with interested parties.

Order parts and services as required to complete work orders, utilizing company IT systems.

Improve maintenance programs, identify waste, and make upgrades (Continuous Improvement).

Coordinate the fabrication, installation and layout of new equipment and repair present equipment as required by production.

Establish and maintain inventory of parts for critical equipment utilizing CMMS.

5S of engineering areas.

Work alongside production with problem solving and finding solutions.

Responsible for implementing equipment and facility designs and improvements to support the overall objectives of the Company's HSE vision using the Maintenance Technicians and capital project resources.

Coordinates & supervises contractors as needed.

Ensures maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with quality policies, as well as in accordance with company safety practices and related local, state, and federal safety / environmental regulations.

Responsible for facility Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs utilizing site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Perform other tasks as assigned.
