Duties You will provide and lead the efforts of other Temporary Services Shop employees. You will provide temporary electrical, piping, and other systems/services and equipment for submarines, ships, tugboats, miscellaneous small crafts, production shops, various drydocks, pier, and building facilities. You will perform in shop manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, testing, repair maintenance of equipment and components required for temporary electrical piping, and other systems/services. You will lead the work efforts of other Shop personnel. You will receive and relay instructions from the Shop Foreman and see that they are followed; set the working pace to ensure that schedules and completion dates are met. You will demonstrate proper work methods as required and ensure accurate completion of all documentation associated with work operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Light to moderate physical exertion will be required in lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally lifting objects up to 110 pounds with assistance. May be required to work at various heights from ladders, scaffolding, buckets, as well as in confined spaces such as trunks or tanks. May be required to work on nuclear systems and participate in RADCON activities as deemed necessary to meet management needs. Must be able to maintain an IT-II level designation. This position may require travel worldwide at which time additional medical screening may be required. Possesses extensive knowledge of electrical and pipefitting trade practices and a strong familiarity with other trade practices involved in providing temporary services and equipment support. Performs in shop manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, testing, repair maintenance, etc. of equipment components required for temporary electrical, piping and other systems/services. Hook up services such as shore electrical power, temporary electrical power, telephone services, chilled water, salt water, flushing water, air conditioning, ventilation, breathing air, industrial. Assures that tools and equipment are operating properly. Maintains a current knowledge of procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives pertaining to shop operations to answer questions of other workers.
