The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.
Essential Functions - Hands-on machine maintenance support including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Check blueprints and/or repair manuals as necessary to maintain continuous operation of equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions
- Hands-on plant maintenance support including utilities and structure.
- Assists in the manufacture, assembly, and installation of machine or plant upgrades, and plant improvement programs.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, hand tools, or power tools.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
- Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining 5S environment in designated maintenance areas.
- Promotes Company's safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment for employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned and needed by supervision.
Job Requirements And Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Experience maintaining CNC equipment preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of PLC control and control logic,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- OSHA 10 Certified a plus
