Maintenance Mechanic- 1St Shift
Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and a basic knowledge of electrical repair.
Responsibilities: - This position requires a self-motivated, reliable employee to join our Maintenance Department
- This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain work and shop area, stock tools, parts, and supplies.
- Repair, install, adjust, troubleshoot, or maintain machines or vehicles.
- Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, jacks, or hoists.
- Complete repairs and part replacements and reinstall after repairing.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to product specifications.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
- Groundskeeping includes lawn maintenance, snow removal by equipment and/or shoveling, and outside maintenance of buildings and area surrounding buildings.
- Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - PLC knowledge
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Strong skills in systems repair, hydraulics, electrical, maintenance, welding
- Strong math skills required.
- Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing, and climbing.
- Ability to work with and problem-solve independently or with a team.
Pay Range: - $24-29 per hour Starting Wage
Hours: - 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6am-4pm
