Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Our client, a national food manufacturer, is currently hiring a Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the effective operation and management of the maintenance department. This role is critical in ensuring the company's equipment, facilities, and production lines are in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the maintenance department staff, including technicians and support personnel. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality standards-tracking expenses and overseeing the maintenance budget.

Develop work plans for maintenance (PM, PdM, and Corrective work), providing the necessary information to enable the efficient scheduling, assigning, and execution of maintenance work. Managing equipment reliability and meeting key performance metrics while staying within the Reliability & Maintenance and Capital Project budget - including working with vendors to ensure best prices and swift delivery.

Oversee regular inspections of production equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and coordinate repairs and replacements as necessary.

Manage and optimize spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary components to support maintenance activities.

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely completion of work.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and increase equipment efficiency.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and relevant documentation to track performance and facilitate future maintenance.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests, ensuring quick and effective solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or food processing environment.

Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
