We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background in manufacturing maintenance management, particularly in the automotive manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PLCs, electromechanical troubleshooting, and will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities within the facility to ensure maximum operational potential is realized for all machinery and equipment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
2. Developing and implementing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
3. Managing and supervising a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed.
4. Scheduling and overseeing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
5. Troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems and equipment.
6. Handling PLC programming and troubleshooting.
7. Monitoring equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary.
8. Coordinating with other department managers to optimize production output.
9. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
10. Preparing maintenance reports and presenting them to senior management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the automotive industry.
3. Extensive experience with PLCs, including programming and troubleshooting.
4. Proven track record in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
6. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and perform under pressure.
8. Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job.
