Maintenance Manager- Metal Stamping Industry

The Maintenance Manager will lead, train & mentor the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure efficient production of quality parts, to implement predictive and proactive maintenance systems to avoid costly and unscheduled downtime throughout the company. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for ensuring production equipment is kept in a safe and operable condition.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop proactive predictive and preventative PM procedures to minimize equipment downtime and ensure equipment is operating at maximum efficiency.

Conduct frequent audits of preventative maintenance records (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completion to our plan

Mentor and assist Maintenance Supervisors /Technicians to implement and maintain a predictive maintenance strategy to insure the plant equipment is operating at a maximum efficiency.

Assist maintenance department to schedule major repairs as required.

Oversee and assist troubleshooting of major problems with production and related equipment.

Improve maintenance repair request systems to ensure repairs and improvements are being addressed, resolved and returned for proper record keeping in a timely manner.

Develop and maintain a critical spares list and inventory /central spares location

Oversee and enforce preventative maintenance schedule and continual PM improvement.

Coach maintenance staff and ensure that all maintenance functions are performed in a pro-active/ continuous improvement atmosphere.

Manage outside contractors for special projects and ongoing maintenance as required and ensure that contractors comply with TSL standards, policies and procedures.

Assess and prioritize all maintenance functions and schedule accordingly.

Ensure positive enforcement of company policies, practices and procedures as they relate to Safety, Quality and productivity.

Work with all employees to continuously improve quality and production.

Technical skills necessary: a) Industrial Electricity; b) PLC Controls; c) Hydraulics; d) Pneumatics

Excellent record keeping is required by keeping up with all photos and documentation of all jobs whether completed or on the go.

Be prepared to present pertinent maintenance department data at the scheduled Maintenance Meetings.
