About this Position:


Strong leader to Lead Department Equipment strategy, vision, and Business Plan to create a reliability mindset for continuous improvement that ensures equipment availability for the achievement of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Environment (SQCDME) targets.



Responsibilities include:


  • Support daily production equipment issues, including trouble shooting, problem analysis and C/M development.
  • Complete all required reporting as needed for equipment downtime, business plan, budgeting and training.
  • Support production team to achieve daily targets by providing direction & coordination to ESA team(s) and collaboration with Production TM's.
  • Manage ES Team to support department DT Response, Open WO Backlog & PM plan completion.
  • Evaluate skill level of ESA associates and create training plan to improve/balance overall team skill set.
  • Manage continuous improvement of department assets to improve MTTR/MTBF
  • Support in creating & executing themed activity for MESD & Production department Business Plan
  • Support creation, management and reporting of annual Repair & Maintenance budgets for MESD & Production Departments
  • Utilize the MESD Planner to process 'Work' requests through planning & scheduling procedures and manage the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Evaluation of Associates' performance (PPR) in achieving business goals, personal goals and personal professional development plans.
  • Apply accountability & corrective action standards to ensure established procedures and policies are followed all team members.
  • Support projects to ensure the success of New Model and Business Plan strategies to improve department characteristics.
  • Improve or Maintain transparency through daily communication and reporting to ensure accurate and full dissemination of information and reflection of performance.
  • Coordination and management of onsite contractors, including enforcement of Safety/OSHA regulations


Required Experience:



• Minimum of (5) years equipment/asset management experience

• 3 years of supervision experience preferred.

• (For Internal Posting, No Corrective Actions of any level in past 12 months & at or above 99% attendance.)



Required Education:



• Associate degree in technical field or certificate in relevant maintenance field preferred or equivalent relevant experience



Other job specific skills:



• Ability to lead Equipment Service Team

• Project Management experience

• Ability to schedule and prioritize task in a dynamic environment



Additional Position Factors:


Knowledge of Honda asset and reliability standards
Knowledge of CMMS database functionality
Skill to develop detailed report for equipment related problems
Ability to lead team in a high stress environment
Skill to assess ES associates and determine training needed for future success and growth.
Skill to develop and present daily reports on equipment issues.
Ability to lead cross functional team in downtime situation.
