Are you ready to bring your technical skills to a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment? We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the optimal performance of our complex machinery and equipment, contributing to the smooth running of our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving our machinery and equipment, focusing on minimizing downtime, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

1. Conducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing faults in machinery and equipment, including pumps, pasteurizers, homogenizers, atomizers, evaporators, dryers, and churns.
4. Assisting in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
5. Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to optimize manufacturing processes.
6. Ensuring all machinery and equipment are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
7. Working with PLC systems to automate and improve manufacturing processes.
8. Maintaining records of all maintenance activities and reporting on machinery performance.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Maintenance Engineer, candidates must have:

1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in maintaining and repairing various types of machinery and equipment, including refrigeration systems.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
4. Experience with packaging and processing machinery, particularly within the food manufacturing sector.
5. Proficiency in working with PLC systems.
6. Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
9. A relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
