Responsibilities

As a Permanent Maintenance Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring the seamless operation of electrical systems and machinery within the manufacturing plant.
2. Carrying out routine checks and preventive maintenance on all electrical systems to avoid breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
3. Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults on a range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
4. Programming and maintaining PLCs to ensure the optimal operation of automated systems.
5. Responding promptly to all system failures and carrying out immediate repairs to minimize downtime.
6. Collaborating with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
7. Conducting regular safety checks on all equipment and systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
8. Training staff on equipment operating procedures and potential hazards associated with equipment use.
9. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in manufacturing systems and technologies to ensure the continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in electrical systems maintenance, industrial equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and PLC programming.
3. A relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
5. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
