Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Technician II. THIS VACANCY HAS BEEN EXTENDED. The duties of this position include the repair and construction of components necessary to keep the facility and surrounding property in proper working condition for the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents and staff. Included in the scope of these duties are a 224,000 sf main structure, nine (9) 1,500 sf cottages, 1,080 interior doors, and 20 +/- acres of grounds. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintenance and renovations, including cabinet making, carpentry work, masonry work, drywall installation, building decks and partitions, flooring such as VCT and ceramic tile, roofing, hanging doors and windows, building picture frames, etc. Construction of cabinets, furniture, and other items. General maintenance duties as assigned. This position is designated MANDATORY and MUST report or stay over during adverse weather events and/or other emergencies. ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER: Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
