We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Mail Services Clerk/Administrative Assistant. This role is responsible for a variety of duties, including mail sorting and distribution, package handling, administrative support, and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: Akron, OH (44308)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Sorts and distributes incoming interoffice and US mail promptly and accurately.
  • Accepts and delivers incoming packages from carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and Office Depot.
  • Applies postage to outgoing mail and processes outgoing UPS shipments efficiently.
  • Performs various clerical, administrative, and general duties including data processing, record and file management, mail distribution, package delivery, telephone reception, invoice processing, and departmental administrative support.
  • Demonstrates unwavering commitment to safety in all tasks and activities.
  • Produces a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations using appropriate office equipment and software.
  • Provides exceptional internal and external customer service, displaying professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement by gaining knowledge of Mail Services/Admin Services activities, understanding customer expectations, and enhancing job skills.
  • Follows up with customers as needed, exhibiting effective communication skills and good judgment.
  • Supports departmental administrative needs including maintaining appointment calendars, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proficient computer and typing skills are essential.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates a proactive attitude towards learning, achieving results, and building relationships.
  • Ability to adhere to established practices, procedures, and instructions, producing accurate administrative work products in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with exceptional customer service demeanor (friendly, courteous, helpful).
  • Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Attention to detail is paramount in this role.

Pay Details: $16.00 per hour
