Machinist with Security Clearance

Machinist Orlando, FL System One is seeking a Machinist for a contract opportunity with one of our large clients located in Orlando FL. The Technician-level position as a machinist in the Mechanical Engineering Machine Shop operates a wide range of machine tools in the precision fabrication from aerospace-grade metals of prototype / development parts and assemblies, in support of internal customers for research and development projects and contracted programs. Machinist Responsibilities: Some experience with technical fabrication in a prototype/development environment with experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and composites fabrication while working in a teaming environment. Demonstrated competence in fabrication of basic steel and aluminum alloys using knee mill, band saw, manual lathe, basic hand-powered metal cutting. Must be able to work a flex-schedule, overtime, evenings, weekends, etc., and the position will require candidate to work onsite, daily. Capable of deconflicting scheduling conflicts with customers and possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects as needed. Proficient in computing within a Windows-based MS Office-suite centered environment for communication, scheduling, data processing, and basic data transfer. Demonstrated sound writing and verbal communication skills. High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical tasks and 4 years or more of experience. Able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Not required to start. Machinist Requirements: 4 years technical fabrication experience in a prototype/development environment with experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and composites fabrication while working in a teaming environment. Knowledge of CNC machines and software, CATIA, Creo, Pro E, and G-code programing. GD&T, Mil-Spec Standards, Advanced working knowledge with various metals, layout, cutting, bending, forming. Working knowledge from concept design into product development. Ability to communicate through development preform guidance of working projects and tasking individuals. Current DoD Secret clearance is highly preferred however not required.
