We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Machinist to join our dynamic Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying parts, using both CNC and manual machines, to meet the requirements of our engineering and production teams. Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a variety of CNC and manual machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming and other machining operations.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to create or repair parts and fixtures.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to verify dimensions and alignments.
• Develop and design jigs and fixtures for the manufacturing process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve manufacturing processes and advance product quality.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or vocational school is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating CNC and manual machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Solid knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience in making repair parts and designing jigs and fixtures.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and machining procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform equipment maintenance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
