Express Employment Professionals are seeking a CNC Machinist for 1st shift for one of our clients in Chaska, MN. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The Machinist will work with a range of materials, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure that the finished products meet the required specifications. Looking for 5+ years experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Running a Fanuc machine
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials based on job requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand the required dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor the machining process to ensure that finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify conformance of workpieces to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure they operate efficiently and produce high-quality output.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a machine operator, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in the machining process.
- Knowledge of lifting techniques and machine rigging.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
