Job Details

As a Permanent Machine Repair Mechanic, you will be an integral part of our team, working on the 1st shift from 5 AM to 3 PM.

Your primary role will be to perform planned, preventative maintenance and repair of machinery and machinery-related equipment for the entire plant. This includes but is not limited to working with CNC mills & lathes, Broaching machines, Hobbs and shapers, Punch Press, and Parts Washer.

This is a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to perform manual labor for 10+ hours a day, including frequently moving 50lbs independently. The position also involves installing, setting up, tearing down, removing, and/or relocating machinery throughout the plant as needed.

The base pay for this hourly position varies based on experience and leads to a range of $75K - $125K (Average 48 - 55 hours/week). We are a successful and growing job shop, providing motion control pieces for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform planned, preventative maintenance and repair of machinery and machinery-related equipment for the entire plant.
• Work with a variety of machinery, including CNC mills & lathes, Broaching machines, Hobbs and shapers, Punch Press, and Parts Washer.
• Perform physical, manual labor for 10+ hours a day, including frequently moving 50lbs independently.
• Install, set up, tear down, remove, and/or relocate machinery throughout the plant as needed.
• Ensure all machinery is functioning at optimal levels to maintain productivity and efficiency in the plant.

Qualifications:

• Must be a State Indentured Journeyman Machine Repair Person OR possess 5+ years of hands-on Machine Repair experience in a Machine Shop.
• Proficient in working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical controls.
• Physical ability to perform physical, manual labor for 10+ hours a day, including frequently moving 50lbs independently.
• Experience as a Machine Maintenance Tech and/or in Mechanical Maintenance is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
