BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 1 year of manufacturing experience. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a manufacturing environment Basic Computer skills Must be able to work 12 Hour Days or Nights on a rotating shift. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off) Job Summary: Position will set-up, operate and maintain at least one process machine (rotary, surface grinder, etc.) meeting both safety and production requirements. Maintain all quality and production records and assist with training as required. Essential Functions: Perform machine set-up and wheel changes in assigned workstation within standard set-up times Maintain all quality and production records including tooling calibration, daily walk around, etc Maintain productivity, utilization, schedule and quality records and comply with all standards Perform inspection of non-certified operators Assist with training of Machine Trainees as required Perform TPM duties Job Responsibilities: Maintain 5S and other area housekeeping standards Execute clean-up shift procedures Maintain visual control boards and hour X hour charts Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook Actively participate, promote and comply with all Quality and EH&S programs and policies Achieve and maintain certified status Maintain acceptable attendance Perform all other job duties as assigned SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge. Ability to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes Ability to interpret and follow instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices EHS Requirements: Assist in the implementation of EHS Values, policy statements and accompanying principals Comply with all departmental, facility, corporate and EHS guidelines and regulations Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook) Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner Attend all EHS training Quality Statement: The products we manufacture are used in important industries.
