A "day in the life" of a Machine Operator:

As a Machine Operator, you will be a member of our Production Team. In this role you will be responsible for operating a Steinhauer and other related machines to ensure our company produces quality parts based on customer standards. A high degree of accuracy is needed in this role, and you will be accountable for following safety standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Load and unload raw materials and equipment using overhead cranes.
  • Conduct drilling, tapping, and milling using CNC machine. Perform test runs as needed.
  • Ensure finished product meets required specifications provided by Engineers.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to CAM Technician that are related to accuracy of specifications or other issues that impact your ability to perform your job in a satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain clean work area; promptly remove debris.
  • Follow and comply with all safety protocols and work regulations.
  • Inspect the work area and ensure CNC machine is working properly at the end of shift.
  • Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of CNC machine following Maintenance Checklist.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Work environment is an office environment with occasional exposure to light industrial setting that has a moderate level of noise, fumes, and airborne particles. Must have ability to stand, climb stairs, climb a ladder, reach overhead, bend, and be able to carry or lift at least 50 pounds.

What we need from you to be our next Machine Operator:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Post high school degree in related field.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with Steinhauer equipment.
