Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, the incumbent should possess the skills, ability, knowledge and willingness to learn any task within the value stream requested by management with limited supervision, oversight or guidance. This is a second Shift Position. M-Thursday DUTIES INCLUDE: Actively participate and abide by Lucas Milhaupt safety program and policies, including active participation in using Zero Communication Platform. Actively participate and engage in Department and Company Lean activities driving business improvement ideas, quality enhancements, productivity improvements, safety updates or other areas of Lean including 5S, Kaizen events, etc. Understand how to setup and operate assigned equipment and be able to communicate Important Steps, Key Points, and Why provided by training. Comprehend and execute assigned processes within the department. Ability to perform quality checks as needed. Ability to read technical prints/specifications and produce to these specifications. Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of equipment and tooling required to produce products and parts per specifications. Take responsibility to notify Maintenance / Engineering and complete documentation as required. Weigh out and account for scrap generated throughout the production process. Check job specifications to perform the required pack out or packaging to ensure appropriate methods and procedures have been performed and necessary quality requirements have been met. All other tasks as assigned by his/her Supervisor.
