PrideStaff, a national staffing company, is seeking an experienced general warehouse worker. We have several clients in the southern Birmingham area that are looking to add experienced warehouse workers to their teams.
This position is responsible for set up and operation in a production environment. Candidate will have the opportunity to operate equipment and produce output in a safe and efficient manner according to established specifications and procedures.
Responsibilities- Responsible for operating the production machinery according to established production needs/requirements while inspecting finished products for quality.
- Responsible for set-up, loading, starting, adjusting process variables, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and properly shutting down process equipment in accordance with published production schedules and product specifications. .
- Responsible for following prescribed methods for machine operation ensuring the highest level of machine efficiency and product yield.
- Responsible for notifying the shift supervisor and/or production manager of significant deviations from normal operating conditions.
- Responsible for performing duties in a safe/responsible manner and in accordance with company policy, inclusive of maintaining general work area cleanliness and orderliness.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:- MUST have one year or more of recent and relevant experience in machine operating.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Overtime is mandatory and must be able to work Saturdays.
- Must have a positive attitude, a passion to work hard individually and as a team member, and ability to show up on time daily.
- Must be able to work Monday -Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Friday 6:00am -2:30pm, and Saturday 6:00 am - 2:30pm.
- Temporary to hire.
- $13/hr.
