Machine Operator
- Ability to operate fork trucks with certification.
- Understanding of the operating cycle for various plant manufacturing equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills in hydraulics, auto, and small engine repair.
- Proficiency in using rulers and tape measures.
- Basic math skills for tracking material and calculating quantities.
- Professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members.
- Basic understanding of cutting torch and welding, passing proficiency test within 1 year.
- Operate machine efficiently to meet quality control specifications.
- Meet or exceed daily production expectations.
- Visually inspect product quality based on specified standards.
- Monitor and identify malfunctions in production equipment.
- Maintain, adjust, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
- Keep work area orderly and hazard-free.
- Follow procedures for machine changes and ensure quality product post-change.
- Perform various duties such as starting up/shutting down machine.
- Filling out production reports, relieving personnel for breaks, and communicating changes to management.
- Assist with major equipment maintenance, repairs, and employee training.
- Previous entry level construction experience preferred.
- PPE required: steel toe work boots.
Physical Requirements:
- Bending, stooping, squatting, and crawling (50% of shift).
- Standing (75% of shift, based on 8-10 hours).
- Lifting objects up to 95 pounds.
- Working in temperatures ranging from 25 to 100 F.
