Tasks
  • Reads, understands and works from blueprints and bills of materials.
  • Resolves issues and answers questions that may occur during the manufacturing process. May escalate complex questions. and issues to leadership personnel for resolution or guidance.
  • Sets up and operates all machining equipment in department (i.e. manual grinders, manual lathes, tool grinders, etc.).
  • Holds given tolerances consistently using measuring devices (i.e. micrometer, profilometer, caliper, dial indicator, etc.).
  • Maintains high quality consistently.
  • Involves close tolerances and difficult setups.
  • Requires minimum supervision.
  • Must arrive at work promptly and predictably.
  • Accepts and performs all other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor. To include any and all jobs or tasks that may not be directly related to this job classification.

Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Good mathematics background.
  • experience working with precision measuring equipment is ideal.
  • Speaks, writes, and understands English.
  • Safe working habits.
  • Considers the needs and feelings of others and appropriately responds to different situations.
  • Works collaboratively within a group in order to achieve a common goal.
  • Utilizes effective approaches for choosing a course of action for developing appropriate solutions.
