The Job. The Machine Operator operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The Machine Operator loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment. Maintain a positive workplace environment that promotes safety, quality, trust, and teamwork. Operate CNC machines to produce quality parts. Some mechanical ability required; training provided in the first 30 days.
Requirements
- Some previous mechanical experience preferred
- Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail
- Must be "hands-on" and assist in daily operations
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must follow established procedures for completing daily tasks
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Work Environment.- Work performed in a manufacturing environment
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
