A recognized leader in the thermal processing and environmental testing industries is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for CNC Metal Fabrication to join their second shift team.

The selected candidate will follow a second shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with a willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.

The ideal candidate will operate a variety of machines to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures, contributing to the company's commitment to high-quality solutions across multiple sectors including defense, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:
Reading blueprints or job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, determining the sequence of operations.
Operating a variety of machines including cutoff and band saws, shears, rolls, press brakes, CNC punch, and laser to shape and bend metal.
Selecting, positioning, and securing tools in tool holders and workpieces in holding devices, fixtures, or machine tables.
Setting controls to position tools and workpieces according to specifications, ensuring optimal feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
Supervising the machine operation to verify conformance of the workpiece to specifications.
Performing basic preventive maintenance and operational safety training.

Job Requirements

A two-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience in metal fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
Proficient in operating a variety of metal fabrication machines.
Familiarity with CNC programming and inventory control systems preferred.
Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
