Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for Machine Operators who are looking to elevate his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology. Manufacturing experience preferred but we do offer on-the-job training as well. Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Set-up and operate machines, load/unload parts, and communicate changes and results (in writing and verbally) while adhering to a strict time schedule.
  • Inspect and verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Follow machine alignment and calibration procedures.
  • Select, load, and run programs as required.
  • Read and understand work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and travelers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
  • Perform prep, wash, and deburr operations.
  • Adhere to required policies and procedures, both written and verbal.
  • Adhere to safety protocols including the proper use of PPE.
  • Document activity on control charts, travelers, quality logs, etc., and report labor in an ERP system.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Detect and troubleshoot malfunctions with equipment and processes. Ask for the assistance of support personnel as needed.
  • Perform any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's values.

Physical Conditions:

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as required.
  • Lift, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand at least 95% of scheduled shift.
  • Operate overhead crane when necessary.
  • Frequently switches between gross and fine motor skills.
  • Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous machining experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical skills as related to machining/manufacturing assignments.
  • Minimal mechanical aptitude required.
  • Troubleshooting/critical thinking skills
  • Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident
