Coating Machine Operator

1st and 2nd Shift

$2,500 Signing Bonus.

AFC is looking for a Coater who will work alongside our team of professionals in a hands-on environment. As a Coater, you will be responsible for coating towers set-up and operation. You will be working on two of the following areas in coating: mixing, PTFE coating, horizontal front end, horizontal back end, Syteline system, and the calendar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sets up rolls on Coating tower (horizontal, PTFE, and/or calendar) and records all pertinent information on the run-sheet.
• Runs the coating towers based on the predetermined processing parameters.
• Ensures quality product is being produced by making the necessary adjustments to the coating tower and checking quality throughout the process.
• Maintains the towers and the immediate area to keep the department neat and orderly including following cleaning procedures.
• Shuts down and cleans up department at the shifts end.
• Sets up the rolls on the coating towers in preparation for the next day production schedule.
• Mixes PTFE coating, following procedures.
• Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.

Pay: $18.00 per hour plus shift differential ($2.50 for second shift)

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm

Requirements

• Knowledge of all aspects pertaining to PTFE and solvent coating onto fiberglass and other substrates.
• Very basic computer skills. Ability to learn and use AFC software as it applies to the job.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds or team lift up to 100 pounds.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain lift truck certification.

Signing Bonus is for direct hires only; it does not include current employees, re-hires or workers assigned/referred through a staffing agency. The signing bonus does not apply to seasonal workers or Interns. Bonus is paid as follows for employees working 34 or more hours per week: $500 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days; for employees working 28-33 hours per week: $375 after 30 days of employment, $750 after 90 days, $750 after 180 days; for employees working 20-27hours per week: $250 after 30 days of employment, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 180 days for employees working less than 20 hours per week: $125 after 30 days of employment, $250 after 90 days, $250 after 180 days.
