To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities MACHINE OPERATORS - Day Shift (7:00am-7:00pm) Work just 15 days a Month with a Rotating Schedule (Bi-weekly Schedule: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday then the schedule starts over) Responsibilities: Operate stretch blow molding machines and lift equipment, inspect and pack rigid-plastic PET containers, and perform scheduled charting and inspections on machines and associated equipment. Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers. Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assembles. Perform container inspections using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques. Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications & stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units. Safely operate lift trucks to move materials. Perform as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment. Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware). Willing to fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders. Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements. Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must have excellent attendance. Must have good housekeeping skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have knowledge of product identification and have basic math skills. Fork-lift experience. Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner. Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically) Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms. Must be able to complete routine paperwork accurately. work with automated equipment. Ability to operator a scanner.
