Machine Operator

Machine Operator - 12-Hour Rotating Shift - $20.57/hr.

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Machine Operator for a local manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated team player that only wants to work 14 days a month

Duties and Responsibilities :

•  Responsible for using pallet jacks and lifts to safely load yarn packages into creel positions.
•  Responsible for identifying yarn types and ensuring the correct type is being used.
•  Must prepare yarn packages by pulling and combing tails, hanging tails in tail hooks and using aspirator hoses to clean off packages. Places end caps on packages.
•  Tasked with splicing packages together in a manner which will lead to a good transfer.
•  Transports samples to the control room. Scans ticket labels in the creels. Threads yarn tensioners if platform compensators are in use.
•  Keeps area clean by sweeping floors in and around creel rows.
•  Assists with pressure washing the belt and or drum when needed.
•  Responds to creel alerts and scans sub-quality packages into database.
•  Conducts product changes. Helps start fleecing platforms. Stacks pallets and boards in designated 5S areas.
Qualifications and Requirements :

•  High School diploma or equivalent
•  Good communication skills
•  Good organizational skills
•  Attention to detail and having the ability to manage multiple tasks/time
