Machine Operator Job Description Reports to: Production Supervisor SUMMARY The Machine Operator is an hourly position, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This position is first shift Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm with overtime as needed. Machine Operator is accountable for assisting the manufacturing process which includes filling drums, labeling products, and may include the use of a forklift. Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Drumming of Materials and Dispensing of Product: Ensure a consistent and quality product of material produced Procedures must be followed including exact quantities produced and dispensed. Proper labelling of drums / totes Proper dispensing of finished goods products into 55 gallon drums Follow loading instructions Proper labeling of all products with production information and date Use of hand tools including a drum torque wrench Autonomously drive the process to ensure production and quality targets are met on a daily basis Detailed organization through reading instruments and accurately recording readings Received adequate training and fully understand manufacturing procedures At times re-labeling of incoming material will be required Assisting with quarterly inventory count Must complete safety and all other trainings as assigned All other duties as assigned by Leadership SKILLS AND ABILITIES The employee should hold the following abilities: Must be able to comply with all safety/work/procedures, rules and regulations Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must have to ability to do basic mathematical calculations Must have the ability to multi-task Must work well in team environment and work independently Must be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required 1 years of manufacturing experience or related experience and/or training in an industrial environment Must be 18 years or older Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US Must be drug and alcohol free ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT This position requires: Standing for prolonged periods of time, over 8 hours if required Work overtime, as needed Nearest Major Market: Chicago
