Machine Operator 2 Job Description: The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating the Big Red sealer. Duties and Responsibilities + Set up and operate Big Red sealer + May use computer to load printer software + Set up and verify weigh scale + Load/unload sealing equipment with product and packaging material + Recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required + Inspect and verify product according to quality standards + Work with Machine Technician to resolve problems with equipment + Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation + Break down scrap packages + Able to work effectively within small teams + Accurately complete scrap tickets + Accurately complete daily production sheet + Accurately update hourly goal board + Maintain production pace and standards + Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area + Practice 5Ss Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Understand and follow verbal and written instructions + Basic math skills + Basic mechanical skills + Basic computer skills Education and Experience Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent + 1 year of machine operation experience preferred Physical and Weight Lifting Demands The physical and weight lifting demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
