Position: Machine Maintenance Technician
Summary: Nesco has teamed up with an outstanding company in Gates, NY, and is on the lookout for a skilled Manufacturing Machine Maintenance Technician. Duties entail conducting routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery utilized on the manufacturing floor to guarantee smooth production operations. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical/mechanical Performance Maintenance duties on machinery
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical experience is a required skill set
- Troubleshoot equipment to determine specific malfunctioning issues
- Installation of new equipment as well as mechanical repairs to machinery
- Carefully read equipment manuals and interpret drawings to maintain equipment properly
- Abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities, keeping equipment in check to avoid hazards
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on building and property
- Keep records of maintenance activities
- Communicate with the manager regarding equipment faults and corrective action techniques.
- Prioritize daily work orders to a level of importance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language
- Strong written & verbal skills
- Demonstrated technical & mechanical competence
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematic
- Basic electrical skills
- CNC experience
- Strong organizational skills; Strong problem-solving skills
- Welding skills a plus
- Root Cause analysis and logical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs independently
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, crouch and crawl, as needed
- High School diploma/GED
- 3 years of manufacturing machine maintenance
- Technical Associates Degree
- Electrician certificate or equivalent experience a plus
Pay: $28 30 per hour
Shift: 11:30am 8pm Monday Friday (Possible Overtime Opportunities)
