We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Machine Maintenance Technician for our advanced manufacturing unit. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the efficiency of our sophisticated machinery. The role demands a strong understanding of machine tool set up, machine building, assembly equipment, and robotic cells. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the machinery is in optimal condition, thereby reducing downtime and improving overall productivity. This is a permanent role that requires a high level of expertise and commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex maintenance tasks on various machines, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Set up machine tools and ensure they are calibrated correctly for optimal performance.
• Build, install, and maintain assembly equipment and robotic cells.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce machine downtime.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machine efficiency and performance.
• Document maintenance activities, keeping accurate records of repairs, replacements, and spare parts.
• Train junior technicians in machine maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine maintenance and technology.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in machine tool set up, machine building, assembly equipment, and robotic cells.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient in using a variety of tools and equipment for machine maintenance.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.
• Certification in machine maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy machinery parts and work in confined spaces.
