Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) team is responsible for enabling customers to run their critical workloads in the cloud. Amazon EC2 providers customers ability to modernize customer's application via refactoring replatforming and rehosting techniques To enhance the source code based refactoring solutions, we are seeking a Machine Learning engineer to convert ambiguous ML research ideas to designing production ready software and ML models, that includes Large Language Models as well to help build Machine Learning based enhance source code refactoring services for AWS customers. You will work cross-functionally, typically collaborating with several teams of software engineers, applied scientists, user interface designers, and others in order to influence the business and technical strategy for a complex, high-performance organization. You will also drive impactful, long-term choices on system architecture, spearhead a high-quality engineering culture, and help coach & develop junior- as well as senior engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
