Deskside/ Mac Support Technician

Two Week Contract



  • The position of Mac Support Technician performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on products and peripherals at corporate locations.

  • Ability to maintain computer systems and networks, aiming for the highest functionality. You will also train users of the system, to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software/hardware and a variety of inter applications, networks and operating systems (IOS, Mac OS, Windows). The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of Technology in business sustainability.




Essential duties for the position include, but are not limited to the following:




Responsibilities:



  • Setting up both PC/ MacBook workstations and necessary peripheral devices

  • Checking Computer hardware (HDD, mouse, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality

  • Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.

  • Asset Management (attention to details), emphasis on Lease refresh management/coordination

  • Hardware/Software vendor Management

  • Have the ability to take on additional responsibilities, to include network and system administration




Requirements:



  • Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication ability

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems (PC/ MacBook) and networks

  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

  • Experience supporting MS technologies, including Office 365 suite of applications

  • Experience managing MacBook / computer systems via JAMF (Certification desired)

  • IT Hardware/Software Procurement coordination with vendors

  • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment and conference configurations

  • Copier Setup and support

  • Advertising and Marketing experience a plus




Experience:



  • Requires 5+ years of related work experience

  • Experience in all Mac Products (iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, Mac Book)

  • Experience in all Mobile Products (iPhone, iPAD, iPAD mini)

  • Experience in software (Apps, Pro Apps, and iOS)

  • Experience with Jamf

  • Extensive knowledge for Mac product installations, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, operating systems, upgrading, and recovery solutions




Desired Certifications:



  • ACSP

  • JAMF

  • Mac Integration Basics (MIB)

  • ACMT
