JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Must possess Arkansas Licensure as LPN and exhibit proficiency in nursing care, written and oral communications. Experience Desirable characteristics include at least two (2) years of experience in a physician office. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards independently. Must be able to function effectively under stressful conditions. Licenses/Certificates: Arkansas LPN license. Current CPR certification. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Occasional sitting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting. Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting 50 llbs or more, carrying up to 50 lbs, and pushing up to 300 lbs. Must be able to see with corrective eye wear. Must be able to hear clearly with assistance. Combination of office and exam offices. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and medicinal preparations. TB test required. Hepatitis B vaccination available. Requires full range of body motion. Occasional stress from workload. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment including phone, PC, fax and medical equipment including stethoscope, EKG machine, ear washing equipment, speculums, scales, blood pressure cuff. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under supervision of physicians and nurse practitioners. Functions as primary liaison between patients and providers. Responsible for maintaining accurate patient charts, reviewing patient medications, assisting with medical procedures, ensuring level of supplies for providers, driving labs collected within the clinic to the hospital, and maintaining cleanliness of office and examination rooms.
