AHN1201 - LPN/LVN - Macon, GA - 13 Weeks Contract Sigma Healthcare Staffing is looking for an LPN/LVN to work at our client's facility in Macon, GA.
Shift: Nights 12Hrs
Responsibilities: - Major functions include: administers medication, documents according to charting guidelines, performs and/or assists with treatments/procedures, and obtains and assures accurate processing of physician orders.
- Under direction of Registered Nurse, provides high quality, cost-effective care and patient teaching interdependently.
- Monitor patient's vitals and record them in their file
- Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding and dressing
- Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
- Update patient records in a confidential manner
- Evaluate the patient's wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
- Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families
- Change dressings and bandages, ensuring patients are healing properly
- Move patients from wheelchairs, beds and gurneys
Qualifications: - Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have 2 years exp. in specialty.
- Licensed to practice professional nursing.
- BLS required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good time management and organization.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients.
