  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in patient care area. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Assists in procedures under the supervision of Surgeons, Registered nurses, Pain Interventionist and/or other surgical personnel. Helps set up the Procedure Room/Operating Room, Opens Cases, Adjust Lights and Equipment, pass medications and other supplies to physicians.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Education and/or Experience: Current licensure to practice from state of Tennessee. Competent in BLS and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area or completion upon hire.

      Knowledge: Knowledge of scope of the license practical nurse. Knowledge of infection control procedures, safety precautions, techniques involved in administering routine medication and/or treatment to patients. Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health applicable to work in the hospital. Basic computer skills.

      Skills: Excellent Customer Service, Active listening, Ability to follow orders from physician and Basic Computer Skills

      Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, admnistrators, leadership and others. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to use sensory and congnitve functions to process and priortize information, treatment and follow-up. Ability to work and remain focused and organized in a stressfrul and fast paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours and days to meet facility needs.
