This large, experienced workforce enables Blythe Development to self-perform 80% of site groundwork, which gives them greater control than competitors who must subcontract the bulk of the job. General Description The lowboy driver is responsible for safely loading and securing heavy equipment to move from jobsite. This job description may also perform a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates. Key Duties Familiarity with the safe operation of construction and/or paving equipment Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of heavy equipment Knowledge of all USDOT and FMCSA regulations Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels for leaks and damage prior to operation Notify supervisor if vehicle requires repair Ability to calculate weights of equipment with truck/trailer combo to stay within DOT permitting restrictions and guidelines Ability to safely drive a water truck, flat bed and/or other commercial vehicles as required Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes Requirements Valid Class A CDL and driving record within MVR policy guidelines Current Medical Examiners Certificate (FMCSR part 391.41) Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs Preferred: lowboy experience Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Program Paid Time Off Company-provided Cell Phone 401k + matching Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental insurance programs EEO Employer Drug-Free Workplace
