Longarm Sewing Machine Operator

Company Description Small fabric and quilting company located in outer southeast Portland Role Description Learn to do long arm quilt sewing. This is a part-time on-site role as a Longarm Quilt sewing Machine Operator at NW Quilting located in outer Southeast Portland, OR. Once trained the days and times you work can be flexible. As a Longarm Quilting Sewing Machine Operator, you will be trained to run a computerized sewing machines to finish quilts. This included loading the quilt on the machine, setting up the pattern on the computer, positioning, sewing, trimming and more. Other jobs include (but not limited to) data entry, customer service including answering phone calls, measuring fabric and cleaning. Starting 1 or 2 days per week, Amount of hours and days may expand over time as the business grows. Qualifications Attention to detail, Consistency is critical Ability to follow instructions with precision and double check your work regularly. Good physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for long periods of time, ability to lift bolts of fabric Strong organization and time management skills Sewing and computer experience is a plus but not required.
