Job Details

The Supply Chain Business Analyst role is responsible for evaluating and recommending solutions related to logistics activities, including but not limited to, transportation service performance, carrier management, and other Supply Chain expenditures. This position is responsible for improving the overall operating efficiencies in these areas. The Supply Chain Business Analyst will collaborate with the Merchandise Teams, Technology, Distribution, and Store Operations frequently

Responsibilities:

Analyze and use Operations information for reporting of logistics activities in the areas of transportation service performance, carrier management, and Supply Chain expenditures.
Support outgoing RFP's and execute carrier bids, looking at optimum cost, offset with efficient and reliable transportation service providers.
Support in the preparation of presentations and quarterly carrier management reviews.
Help in the development of a Vendor Freight Conversion Program by working closely with the merchandise teams.
Assist in the selection and administer the set up and operation of a Transportation Management System (TMS) to execute carrier management activities.
Audit and review invoicing and ancillary charges from freight activity identifying opportunities to optimize and reduce expenses.
Identify carriers, brokers, mode types, and other options to assist the business in growing and refining Supply Chain services as the needs develop.
Help identify and resolve related service, costs, rates, and freight payment issues through candidates' analytic capabilities.
Engaged in setting and analyzing Supply Chain budgets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Finance, Economics or Logistics/Supply Chain, preferred but not required.
3+ years of professional experience in the areas of Supply Chain and Logistics.
3+ years of direct or indirect Retail experience, required.
General understanding of and experience in Supply Chain fundamentals and freight forecasting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including an advanced understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with databases including SQL, Access, and Power BI, among others.
Proficiency with Supply Chain software applications, such as a TMS, Forecasting, Order Management, Warehouse Management, and Allocation and Replenishment tools.
