The Logistics Specialist (Tuesday - Friday) under the Production Specialist job family is responsible for supporting operations associated with plant production. The Logistics Specialist will assist in the coordination of vendor deliveries and associated activities in support of operations and project schedules. The position ensures work executed is in accordance with applicable project procedures, policies and all applicable laws, regulations, Contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements. This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS Organize and perform pre-delivery walkdowns for bulk chemical or consumable delivery Ensure vendor paperwork is submitted Maintains assigned tracking reports Monitoring and inspecting the vendor's quality of work Maintain current training, certification, and development requirements Demonstrate an understanding of system design and operation, including environmental, safety and health aspects. Periodically reviews work performed for attainment of objectives, policy compliance and priorities, effective coordination, technical adequacy, and responsiveness to established guidelines. Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment. Other tasks may be assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's request. REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS Education:High School Diploma or GED. Associates degree in engineering or science or equivalent education desired. Associates degree in engineering or science may be substituted for two years of experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering or science may be substituted for four years of experience. Experience: 6 years of experience in logistics, operations, or other related experience. Excellent technical writing/editing and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills required to prioritize workloads and effectively communicate status up through line management. Preferred Experience: Experience in logistics Experience in vendor relations Experience solving problems and finding solutions Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, and knowledge of industry codes and standards Working knowledge of Conduct of Operations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99,193.03 - $154,255.09 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
