Duties Provide military operational and logistics planning guidance for areas of operations throughout the organization. Build partnerships with stakeholders of other agencies to ensure logistical support is provided in accordance with contracts to support mission requirements. Ensure phases of the mission to be performed by contracted support are identified and are included in the planning process. Guide the synchronization of contracted support to military forces in all aspects of logistical plans. Monitor the planning and programming of manpower and equipment to ensure appropriate resources are available in support of the mission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. This position occasionally requires the employee to travel away from the normal duty station (25%). Employee must be willing and able to travel on military and/or commercial aircraft or by other mode of transportation to accomplish mission requirements. Employee may be required to work overtime. This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019. In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization. Facilitate communication among contractors to resolve logistical deficiencies to increase level of readiness. Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
