Duties A GS-0346-13, LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER: Collaborates with the AASF Commander, AASF staff, and supported unit commanders to plan, develop, and implement long and short term plans to effectively use aircraft and flying hours, and to accomplish vital training and operational missions. Reviews aircraft maintenance and related material support requirements with respect to specific objectives, relative priorities, capabilities, and limitations. Reviews and evaluates higher-level headquarters' directives and policies for AASF implementation. Develops action plans, internal policies, and procedures to assure timely, effective, and complete maintenance support for units, facility, state, National Guard Bureau (NGB), and DA mission requirements. Oversees the preparation and execution of budgets for man-days and funds to resource AASF logistics requirements. Through subordinate supervisors, directs staff and production functions related to aircraft maintenance, production support, material services, ground support, and facility services. Coordinates maintenance activities with supervisors, various facility activities, and higher echelons of maintenance such as regional AVCRAD's, Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), NGB, program managers, etc. Through subordinate supervisors, manages the facility environmental program, thus ensuring compliance with local, state, Federal, and military regulations. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS : Military Grades: 03 Compatible Military Assignments: 15 Series - Applicants need not be assigned to the position or possess the MOS to apply or be considered for selection. Selected applicant must be assigned to a compatible Military position and attain MOS within 1 year of appointment action. - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. - All soldiers, civilian employees, and contractor employees who drive Army-owned or leased vehicles must complete the Army Avoidance Course (AAC) training when they start working for the Army. Must have a valid Washington state and military driver's license. Must be able to obtain a Government Travel Card (GTC) and be able to attend all schools deemed necessary by the supervisor. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. - Must maintain membership in the WA Army National Guard for continued employment. - Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. - This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. - Position requires ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. - May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. - The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least At least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must be a Pilot in Command (PC) in a AH-64, CH-47, or UH-60. Also the AMOC course be complete. Education Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Not Applicable. To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or other documentation of proof to support your Educational claims.
