Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert on DoD supply chain management policy and logistics strategy related to all classes of supply, with particular focus on repair parts and logistics information systems Analyze and assess the effects and impacts of existing and proposed legislation on DoD policy as it relates to materiel disposition and suspended stock. Provide program management support for policies/initiatives related to wholesale and retail inventory management and level setting, government furnished materiel, depot maintenance inter-service support, and the national defense stockpile. Analyze and assess DoD logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements. Communicate with clients through written reports and oral presentations. Research subject matter and prepare point papers/notes/remarks for use by senior DoD officials to internal and external organizations. Produce briefing slides/ charts and other presentation materials. Responsibilities include: Required: Department of Defense supply classification, outfitting and technical provisioning experience. Understanding of DoD supply system and requisitioning procedures. Qualifications Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics , or similar discipline 4+ years of work experience in logistics , supply chain or related discipline 2+ years of experience with logistics policy development and implementation Good quantitative and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Superior communication skills, both oral and written High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry. Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities. Availability for occasional travel. This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen.
