Locum to Permanent Opportunity: Family Medicine Provider with OB Experience
Location: Community Medical Facility
Start Date: ASAP, ongoing
Schedule:
- Hospital OB Call: 1-2 weeks per month, 24-hour shifts
- Clinic Days: 4-8 days per month, four 10-hour days per week
- 1:4 hospital OB/pediatric call coverage
Practice Scope:
- Inpatient and outpatient care
- Responsible for OB procedures including C-sections and minor family practice procedures
Caseload:
- Clinic: 18-25 patients per day
- Hospital: 0-1 admission per day, primarily for OB
Requirements:
- Must be qualified to perform C-sections
- Capable of handling a blend of Family Practice and OB cases
Operational Details:
- No NICU onsite; nearest Level 3 NICU is 50 minutes away in Redding
- In-house anesthesia available with a 15-minute call response time
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff:
- Includes a supervisor, medical assistant (MA), and clerks
Additional Information:
- The facility is experiencing an increase in delivery volume due to regional shifts in service availability
- The provider is not responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
- Role is crucial in a small community facility, requiring dual capabilities in Family Medicine and OB
Call and Coverage:
- OB call is for 1 week per month, 24-hour shifts
- No in-house call required;
