Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work schedule, providing the flexibility of working remotely and in-office. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of employment law issues, with a particular focus on advising and representing clients in employment-related commercial litigation and employment law advice and litigation (e.g. drug and alcohol issues in the workplace, EEO compliance, employee disciplinary matters, retaliation claims, sexual and other forms of unlawful harassment, whistleblowing claims, wrongful termination claims). This position involves all phases of litigation with increasing responsibility for file management, including legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing and propounding discovery, managing files, and appearing and presenting arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations and trials. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a deep understanding of employment law, and is passionate about advocating for clients' rights.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal advice to clients on a broad range of employment law issues, including but not limited to drug and alcohol issues in the workplace, EEO compliance, employee disciplinary matters, retaliation claims, sexual and other forms of unlawful harassment, whistleblowing claims, wrongful termination claims
2. Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies of government.
3. Conduct and manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trials.
4. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis to advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
6. Develop and implement strategies for managing employment law risks.
7. Stay updated on the latest developments in employment law and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Employment Law Attorney, with a strong focus on unlawful discrimination litigation and non-compete litigation.
3. Admission to the State Bar of Oregon and in good standing
4. Proven experience in representing clients in court and before administrative agencies.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
8. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
10. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of integrity.
