We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in State & Federal Litigation as well as Business Litigation. This challenging and rewarding role is an excellent opportunity to work on complex litigation matters in an energetic and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal industry and will have the opportunity to work on high-stakes cases in both state and federal courts, as well as business litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include:

1. Representing clients in state and federal court litigation, as well as business litigation matters.
2. Handling a wide range of cases involving civil rights, code enforcement, housing standards, receiverships, nuisance abatement, land use and zoning, and public agency defense.
3. Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
4. Performing legal research, preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery, developing arguments, and testifying in court.
5. Advising clients on their legal rights and responsibilities, as well as suggesting courses of action in business and personal matters.
6. Negotiating settlements for legal disputes.
7. Complying with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, state litigation, federal litigation. Experience with Government Tort Claims is ideal, but not required.
4. In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in litigation and court procedures.
6. Proficient in drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and appellate documents.
7. Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients, colleagues, and the court.
