Responsibilities The Hardware in the Loop Simulation Group is responsible for designing and developing dynamic simulations and infrastructure for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from high-level behavioral simulations to visualize and evaluate system concepts within SysML models to high-fidelity real time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration, test, and sustainment of systems and software. The Hardware in the Loop Simulation Group is seeking a team member who can help build and manage Linux based high performance simulation computer systems. A candidate for this position will have experience as a Linux System Administrator, and may be a Red Hat Certified System Administrator. This team member will be part of the engineering team that is developing complex real time simulations of flight computers and avionics components, so the ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in Aerospace & Defense systems. This team member will be responsible for several computer systems, and will maintain plans and schedules for upgrades and deployments. This team member will need to communicate effectively, and coordinate with various engineering teams as well as corporate Information Technology and Information Security stakeholders. Qualifications Required Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree plus a few years of experience as a Linux system administrator. Degree should be in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with relevant experience noted below. Linux System Administrator skills and demonstrated experience with automated administration using Ansible or similar tools. Linux BASH scripting experience Knowledge of Linux file systems and data archive & backup processes Computer system performance troubleshooting experience Interest in computer hardware build, assembly and troubleshooting Experience with computer networking Experience with DevSecOps Preferred Qualifications: Red Hat Certified System Administrator or similar certification Experience with military and defense related computers systems Knowledge of DoD STIG Processes Computer Science coursework in computer graphics & gaming engines Knowledge and interest in Aerospace systems Great verbal and written communications skills Security Requirement: Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
