Pay Information

$27.35/hr.



Job Purpose

Manage process area by monitoring the processes and responding to abnormalities/non-conformances to meet and/or exceed internal or external customer expectations.



Key Accountabilities

  • Develop capability of self through training, mentoring, and sharing experiences to facilitate growth.
  • Actively participate in dept. initiatives such as Monozukuri and loss elimination to engage the team, build moral and promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and communicate prior day/shift results through reviewing shift communication (daily report, visual management board, pre-shift communication, email, etc.) and providing continuous communication in order to direct an effective team and apply PDCA.
  • Conduct assigned checks & apply appropriate action according to plant/dept. policies and procedures to ensure SEQCDM.
  • Train associates per process requirements utilizing the operation standards and other specialized training to develop production associates as experts in the process.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of process area tools, materials and equipment to appropriately react and prevent outflow/ negative impact to the department by sharing and demonstrating Honda QMS knowledge.
  • Develop capability of self through training, mentoring, and sharing experiences to facilitate growth.



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/ GED

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year experience in Manufacturing leadership related field.

Other Job-Specific Skills:

  • Effectively communicate/train associates
  • Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate (Consensus building skills)
  • Crisis management (PPA development)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task
  • Nonconforming procedure - Knowledge of QMS
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the SEQCDM guidelines/requirements within area of responsibility



Working Conditions

  • Will require standing for long durations of time
  • Able to work in a fast pace production area
  • Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
  • Daily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime as required (will vary)
  • Able to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time as requested
  • Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
