Immanuel is seeking skilled Line Cooks to join our Culinary Services team for our Skilled Nursing Facility. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking delicious meals for our residents. The ideal candidate will have one year experience working as a cook in a Healthcare Facility cooking up to 190 people at a time. Plus, to have a passion for food and has worked in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.

Job Duties
- Prepare meals in accordance with the menu and recipes.
- Adhere to residents' special diet restrictions.
- Provide proper food transportation, plate-up and portion control.
- Ensure that residents and guests receive high quality food in a timely manner.
- Perform tasks as assigned on cleaning schedule.
- Maintain and record proper temperature controls, food storage and food rotation.
- Update documentation of temperature and equipment logs.
- Meet regularly with the Culinary Services Director regarding menus, service, procedures, etc.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
- Perform all side work and setup/breakdown duties as assigned.
- Stock supplies, as needed.
- Adhere to safety and sanitary practices.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to cook large portions of food at one time.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to work on your feet and lift routine kitchen/food boxes, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of service standards and system.
- Proper knife safety skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Job Requirements:
- Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (we will help you apply).
- Food Handlers Card.
- Current 2-step TB test (available on-site).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role is preferred.

Salary and Shift Available

This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt FLSA status position.

$17.50-$19.50 per hour, depending on years of experience.

Shift preference will be discussed during interview.
